Version 1.1, effective 7 October 2026. If this English translation and the Vietnamese version differ, the Vietnamese version prevails.
This is an agreement between you and Do Tien Phong ("we", "us") for your use of the AI Translator application (the "app"). By installing or using the app you agree to it. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the app.
1. What the app does
AI Translator shows live translated subtitles for audio playing on your computer (for example an online meeting). Speech recognition and translation run on your computer; your audio is not sent anywhere. The Privacy Policy is part of this agreement.
2. The license we grant you
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to install and use the app under this agreement: the Free plan on your machine during the trial period (section 3), a paid plan on the machine where your key is activated (section 4). The app is licensed, not sold: you do not own the app or its source code.

(Current prices and quotas are shown in the app when you buy; we may add new plans. We do not reduce the quota of a plan you have already paid for during the period you bought.)
- Free is a trial plan: it can be used for 10 days, counted from the first time the app registers the trial with our server (usually the first time you open the app with a network connection). Each machine gets one trial only: uninstalling and reinstalling the app, or deleting its data, does not restart the trial. When the trial ends you need a paid plan to keep translating.
- Both paid plans have the same Pro features (glossary, history, transcript export) and differ in quota and term.
- A paid plan is an order paid in advance (Monthly 30 days, Yearly 365 days) in VND by VietQR bank transfer (PayOS). It does not renew automatically. When it expires the app returns to the Free plan if the machine is still within its trial; after the trial you cannot translate until you buy again.
- Buying more of the same plan adds the plan's days (30 days for Monthly, 365 days for Yearly). Changing plan while you still have time: the remaining days of the old plan are converted by price per day into days of the new plan (rounded down), and the new plan starts immediately with a new cycle; the app shows the converted days and the new expiry date beforehand. Plan changes are not refunded.
- Quota is counted per machine, by actual translation time. When quota runs out, translation stops until the next reset or until you buy more.
- Refunds: amounts paid are not refundable, except (a) where our fault prevents you from using the plan you bought and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, or (b) where the law requires otherwise. Send a request within 7 days of payment to support@aitranslator.io.vn with your order code.
- We may issue or extend licenses manually (for example when you transferred too little and then topped up).
4. License keys and activation
- After payment we email a license key to the address you entered. Keep it secret; you are responsible for use of your key.
- Each key can be used on 1 machine only. Re-activating the same machine does not count as a new machine. To switch machines, remove the key from the old machine (or remove the old machine from the new one), then activate the new machine.
- If a key is activated on a second machine while the other machine still holds it, the key is temporarily locked on both machines until one of them removes the key. During that time the paid plan cannot be used on either machine.
- Do not share, resell, rent or publish a key. If you deactivate and activate other machines too often within 30 days (roughly 5 removals) the key may be temporarily locked; contact us to unlock it.
- The app checks your license periodically over the network and works offline for up to 14 days between two successful checks. We use a hash of the machine ID and other anti-abuse mechanisms (see the Privacy Policy).
- You can recover a lost key through the email used at purchase.
5. What you must not do
Except where mandatory law allows it, you must not:
- reverse engineer, disassemble, or try to obtain the source code of the app;
- modify the app, disable or bypass licensing, quota, signature checks or other protection mechanisms; or use a key that is not yours or that has been shared;
- copy, redistribute, resell, rent, rebrand or repackage the app as another product;
- use the app for unlawful purposes or in ways that infringe others' rights;
- overload or attack our servers.
6. Your responsibility when capturing and translating audio
The app captures audio playing on your computer, which may include other people's voices. You are responsible for obtaining permission from the people involved where the law or a contract requires it (for example recording or transcribing a meeting), for following your organization's confidentiality rules, and for not using the app to eavesdrop. We do not receive or store your audio.
7. Automatic translation can be wrong
Translations are produced by machine models and may be wrong, incomplete or unsuited to the context, especially for specialist terms, proper names and unclear speech. Do not rely on the app for important decisions (medical, legal, financial, safety) without checking with a qualified person. We do not guarantee the accuracy of translations.
8. Updates and changes to the service
The app may check for and download updates (installed when you quit or restart). We may change, pause or discontinue parts of the service (for example models, plans, features) when needed, and will try to give notice before changes that affect a paid plan you are using.
9. Third-party software and models
The app uses open-source software and models, each under its own license (for example Hy-MT2 under Apache 2.0; the Whisper weights, whisper.cpp, llama.cpp, ggml and Silero VAD under MIT; Tauri, React and other libraries). The full list and license texts are on the app's "About" screen and in the THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES file. This agreement does not change your rights in those components under their licenses.
10. Intellectual property and trademarks
Apart from the third-party components in section 9, the app, the name "AI Translator", the logo and accompanying content belong to us and are protected by law. The names Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and any other names are used only to describe compatibility; the app is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by those companies.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available" with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of translations, or uninterrupted, error-free operation on every machine configuration.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damage, loss of data or loss of profit arising from using or being unable to use the app. Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event (or 0 VND if you only used the Free plan). This does not exclude liability that the law does not allow to be excluded.
13. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may temporarily lock or revoke a license (without refund) if you seriously breach this agreement, for example by mass key sharing or bypassing licensing. Provisions that by nature continue (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) survive termination.
14. Governing law and disputes
This agreement is governed by the law of Vietnam. The parties prefer to negotiate; failing that, disputes are resolved by the competent court in Vietnam. Your rights as a consumer under Vietnamese law are unaffected.
15. Changes to this agreement
We may update this agreement; the new version states its effective date and is announced in the app or on the website for significant changes. Continuing to use the app after the effective date means you accept the new version. If a provision is held invalid, the rest remain in effect.
